Play Soccer Legends, score with jumps, slides and super shots, challenge friends in 1v1 or 2v2 matches, and battle through Tournament mode.
Soccer Legends is an arcade-style soccer game from MadPuffers where you control one or two players in compact matches built around shooting, jumping, sliding, defending, and powerful special abilities. You can play against the computer, challenge a friend on the same keyboard, cooperate in team matches, or enter a tournament and keep winning until you reach the final.
The objective is to score more goals than the opposing side. Instead of controlling an entire 11-player team, you directly manage one of the oversized players and stay involved in nearly every touch of the ball.
Matches can be configured in several ways, including 1v1, 2v2, 1v2, and 2v1. This allows Soccer Legends to work as a solo game, a competitive local multiplayer game, or a cooperative challenge where two players share the same team.
Players also have special abilities such as a powerful fireball-style shot or teleportation. These abilities give you another way to create scoring opportunities when ordinary movement and shooting are not enough.
| Control | Action |
|---|---|
| Left / Right Arrow or A / D | Move left and right |
| Up Arrow or W | Jump |
| Down Arrow or S | Slide |
| X or L | Shoot |
| Z or K | Use the supershot or special ability |
| Player | Movement | Jump | Slide | Shoot | Special |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Player 1 | A / D | W | S | B | V |
| Player 2 | Left / Right Arrow | Up Arrow | Down Arrow | L | K |
These control layouts are consistently documented for the browser version of Soccer Legends 2021, allowing two players to share one keyboard without overlapping their main action keys.
Special abilities are one of the mechanics that distinguish Soccer Legends from a standard soccer game. Available players use abilities based around either a powerful fireball-style kick or teleportation.
The fireball-style supershot sends the ball forward with considerably more force than an ordinary attempt. It is most useful when you already have a clear angle toward goal and want to make the shot harder for the defender to stop.
Using a powerful kick from the wrong side of the ball can still produce a poor result. First position your player so the shot is directed toward the opposing goal, then activate the ability.
Teleportation focuses more on positioning. It can rapidly change where your player is relative to the ball, helping you reach an attacking situation that ordinary running might not solve quickly enough.
Use it when repositioning creates an actual advantage rather than activating the ability immediately whenever it becomes available.
Soccer Legends includes both friendly play and tournament competition. Friendly matches let you set up a match without progressing through a bracket, while Tournament mode requires repeated victories to advance through later stages.
Documented tournament versions include quarterfinal, semifinal, third-place, and final stages, with selectable difficulty settings such as Normal and Hard.
Because a tournament requires several successful matches, consistency matters more than relying on one lucky supershot. Strong defense, rebound control, and knowing when to use your special ability become increasingly useful as you progress.
In a one-on-one match, every mistake immediately affects both attack and defense. If you move too far forward and lose possession, there is no teammate behind you to cover the goal.
Stay aware of the opponent's position and avoid chasing the ball from the wrong direction. Sometimes waiting for a rebound is safer than forcing another touch.
Two-player teams introduce more options for positioning. One player can challenge the ball while the other stays ready for rebounds or defensive recovery. Soccer Legends explicitly supports teaming up with a friend in 2v2 matches.
Avoid having both teammates run toward the exact same ball every time. Spreading your positions can give the team better coverage across the small field.
Your contact angle determines where the ball travels. If you approach from the front or wrong side, even a strong kick can send possession away from the opponent's goal.
The slide is useful when you need to reach a low ball or interrupt an opponent. Missing the challenge can leave your player on the ground while the ball continues toward your goal.
A powerful special shot is easier to capitalize on when there is open space between the ball and the net. Using it while facing away from goal wastes the ability's main advantage.
The compact pitch creates quick rebounds. After shooting, follow the ball instead of assuming the attack has ended. A blocked attempt can immediately become another scoring opportunity.
If the opponent wins the ball, begin moving toward your own goal. Waiting in an attacking position gives them more room for an uncontested shot.
When both teammates occupy the same area, a single rebound can bypass the entire team. Let one player challenge while the other covers useful space.

Yes. The game supports local two-player play and allows friends to compete against each other or cooperate in team configurations such as 2v2.
Documented configurations include 1v1, 2v2, 1v2, and 2v1 matches.
Players use special abilities based around a powerful fireball-style shot or teleportation, giving you options beyond ordinary kicks and movement.
You move left and right, jump, slide, shoot, and activate a supershot. In single-player mode, movement can use the Arrow Keys or WASD, while X or L shoots and Z or K activates the special move.
Soccer Legends rewards players who combine aggressive shooting with quick defensive recovery. Stay behind the ball before kicking, use slides only when they can win possession, follow rebounds instead of stopping after the first shot, and save special abilities for situations where they can change the attack. Whether you play 1v1, cooperate in 2v2, or work through Tournament mode, positioning is what turns powerful moves into goals.
